Top Ten Worlds I’d Never Want to Live inSo this list was actually super hard, friends. I don’t often find myself NOT liking the worlds in the books I read. I might not like the way the world is built, but I don’t often find myself thinking that I’d never want to experience the places in the books even one time. Except for possibly these ten times.
Top Ten 2014 Debuts I’m Looking Forward ToFriends, is there anything more exciting than an debut that just gets you all JAZZED UP? Well…maybe there are a few things (oreos, new eps of Game of Thrones, cashmere), but debuts are SO CLOSE to the top! I’m always looking for debuts that are going to rock my socks right off my feet, and so I’ve got some high hopes for these 10 books. I can’t even begin to tell you how eager I am for all of them, and more.
2014: The Year of Doing ThingsSo, friends, here we are: A new year has begun, and our slates are wiped clean. I love this. The end of the year was pretty stressful for me at work and so my energy for blogging was all but sapped for a little while there, but I’m already feeling lighter and better and READY TO KILL IT in 2014.
I, as always, have big ideas for things in January that don’t always pan out as the year goes on, but I like having all the possibilities open to me. The hopefulness! It’s warm-fuzzy-licious!

Woo Hoo! This post is late! Nothing like looking back in the rearview mirror, friends. A little reflection is good for the constitution, I say. Just so happens that I’m looking back a little bit further than everyone else because I didn’t have a chance to post this list on Tuesday. Holidays, man. They were CRAY this year for me! I don’t even know what happened!
Anywho, without any more delay on my part, here are my top ten 2013 reads. I look forward to this list EVERY. YEAR.
Top Ten New To Me Authors From 2013Friends, I know I’ve been on a little holiday hiatus around here–it’s been so incredibly busy this month!–but I will always take time out to make a list, especially one that lets me shout out new authors. Not debut authors, you understand, although there is one of those on my list. But rather new discoveries I made this year, some on my own and others at the recommendation of others. WOOT! I LOVED these authors’ books. So much so that I’ve read more than one book by a few of these authors this year, that’s how hard I love them now.
Top Ten Books on My Winter TBRAhh, Winter. There’s very little I enjoy more than curling up under my blankets with a hot drink and a good book, friends. I feel like we are simpatico on this. These ten books, though, are some of the ones I’ve moved to the top of my winter TBR. Because they sound GOOD! And I’d like to curl up with them all.
Let me just preface this by saying: This is in NO WAY a complete list AT ALL. In fact, since I made these graphics, I’ve already remembered at least three other books that I meant to add here. And I deliberately left off a 2014 release that I’ve read already, otherwise it would DEFINITELY be on here: CRESS. Other than that, this is just a small-ish sampling of books that I’m most looking forward to in 2014. Seriously, this list could’ve been, like, 30 books long. Not even kidding.
Friends, I am thankful for so many things this time of year. And always, of course. But I like that I get to talk about things that I am thankful for, especially when I’m talking about bookish things!
So friends, my sister is one of my BFFs for real. We have lots in common, but not everything. Case in point? READING. She, like, doesn’t. Well, that’s not fair. She LOVES Harry Potter and the Stephanie Plum series, as well as the Pink Carnation books. But she doesn’t like fantasies AT ALL, or paranormal anything, and YA books aren’t really her jam. Recommending books for her is not easy, but I think she might actually read a few of these, haha! Maybe.
Covers are tricky business, friends. They’re obviously so important to the way people are attracted to books–or not. But it’s also a case of not being able to please everyone all the time. That being said, there are some covers that I see and I’m like, “for REAL?” So without further ado, here’s my list of ten covers I would love to redesign, for one reason or another.
