October Recap
I can’t believe October is OVER already friends!! What is going on?! This year is going by so quickly. SLOW DOWN, 2013! Although, I DID get to watch Hocus Pocus this month and that is always a bonus. Also, this means I am that much closer to an appropriate time of year for listening to Christmas songs. So there’s that. And, of course, this wonderful month I had over here with you all!

For All Hallows Read this year, I read WE HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE CASTLE by Shirley Jackson. Womp womp.
Need a new take on vampires? Read Laura Bickle‘s The Hallowed Ones series. THE OUTSIDE was a great conclusion!
I am officially a Rainbow Rowell FANGIRL. Ugh that’s cheesy. But it’s true.
GOLDEN is my favorite Jessi Kirby book, for real.
I have to say, UNDER THE EMPYREAN SKY by Chuck Wendig was really engaging. I’m in it to win it, friends.
SIGH. I just love me some historical romances, and Julianne Donaldson knows what’s up. BLACKMOORE was GOOD.
Series enders is a touchy topic for some people, especially lately it seems. These are my favorites, with one exception.
I was SO EXCITED about my top ten favorite character names that I planned this list WEEKS in advance.
In honor of Halloween, here’s some creepy book covers for you!
Melissa Kantor‘s MAYBE ONE DAY sounds like a contemp with lots of emotions.
Debut fantasy? YES. Debut fantasy that name-checks Kristin Cashore, like Marie Rutkoski‘s THE WINNER’S CURSE? DEFINITELY YES.
Legend of Korra recaps for Episodes Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight! HOLLA!
OMG I’m so excited for the Outlander TV show. I can’t even.
The Legend of Korra Recap: Episode 7, “Beginnings, Part 1”
The Skinny
This episode is about to be AVATAR-HEAVY. Our Avatar was largely absent from last week’s episode until the end, which revealed that the dark spirit who attacked Korra while she was on her way to the Fire Nation didn’t kill her. Instead it dumped her on an island somewhere, all of her memories WIPED. She doesn’t even know she’s the Avatar, and her friends don’t know where she is. This was a BIG two-part episode, friends, but let’s focus on Part 1 first.
The Legend of Korra Recap: Episode Five, “Peacekeepers”
WHEW! This season of The Legend of Korra is flying by! Story-wise, I mean. Lots happening ALREADY!

September Recap
September Recap
September was a big month for the books, friends. This is partly because my birthday is in September, so I always give myself a couple of bookish presents, hence the awesome hauls for my kindle and the print copies. But I also read lots of great books this month–HUZZAH!
