Week of April 12, 2013
I can’t even begin to tell you about the book binges I went on just in the last two days. SO many books out there! The good news is that, even though this week was crazy, last week–when I passed on Stacking the Shelves–was really light. I compensated!
So without further ado, here’s the awesome stuff I’ve picked up so far this month!
(P.S. I’m super busy AGAIN this weekend, and am on my way out the door kind of now-ish, so I apologize for the lack of linkage. I’ll update my post with the links later tomorrow when I get back home. WAH!! WHERE IS MY FREE TIME?!?)

I am setting a new challenge for myself to read books that have been recommended to me by other friend-bloggers.
I’m waiting on FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell. You should be too.
If you’ve often wondered what 10 of my favorite pre-blogging reads were, here’s your answer.
This is one of the most gorgeous books ever, and one of my favorites reads this year: DAYS OF BLOOD AND STARLIGHT by Laini Taylor
PAPER VALENTINE by Brenna Yovanoff had lots of elements I liked, friends.
These guys are my Top 10 bookish boyfriends!!
Lots of good books coming out this month, friends. Here are the ones I’m anticipating hardcore.
Do you often find yourself wishing to read more about secondary characters in books instead of the main characters? ME TOO.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by the supremely awesome Tynga’s Reviews.
Awesome haul. It is great you got Dark Triumph!

YAY! I’m excited about Dark Triumph, too! I was able to read an ARC from NetGalley, but I had preordered the real thing months ago. SO GOOD!!!
I feel you on wondering where the heck my free time went. ALSO look at you and all those awesome looking Penguin books. I am crossing my fingers for approval on Our Song.
ALSO! YAY AN ABUNDANCE OF KATHERINES with that exact cover. I love that cover because MATH.
Seriously, April, I basically sleep in my own bed SOMETIMES and then I go to work and then sleep and then do more things. I’m in my cousin’s wedding this May so I’m running around doing TONS of stuff for it.
I could not resist those Penguin books! So many of them are on the tippy-top of my “books I am DYING to read” list!
I also went a little batty on Audible the other day. Ooops! So many amazing audiobooks were on sale!! I can’t wait to dig into some John Green!!
Someone went crazy with the Penguin requests! π I actually previously picked up Star Cursed and Between the Devil from Edelweiss, but did request a few other titles this past week once I saw them on NetGalley. I can’t wait to read The Corner of Bitter and Sweet and After Iris! And Dark Triumph was amazing; hope you love it!
Happy reading!
My StS post π
AH! I know! I couldn’t help it. It’s been a long while since I had such a NetGalley binge. I died when I saw the books they put on there. I’d actually requested a few from Edelweiss already and been declined, lol, so I jumped on them! The two you mention–Star Cursed and Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea–were two of them!
What an awesome haul! Star Cursed looks good and it reminded me that I still need to read Born Wicked!
Loving the look of your blog, too!
p.s now following you via Bloglovin’ π
YAY!! Thank you so much!! xoxo
Born Wicked was really good. I still think about how much I enjoyed it, even though I don’t remember FREAKING OUT over it right after I finished. But it’s stayed with me this whole year, and one of the reasons I am so looking forward to Star Cursed is because the ending of Born Wicked is IN.SANE. I hope you read it soon!
45 Pounds looks really interesting. I just finished Dark Triumph, and I loved it! Nice haul.
I loved Dark Triumph, too. And 45 Pounds sounded right up my alley. I hope it isn’t one of those books where she looses weight and THEN the boy notices her! But it looks cute!
Haha, right!? Where is any free time, indeed!
Great haul, Amy!! So many great books and I can’t wait to read This is What Happy Looks like! π
My free time is MIA for such a long while I can’t even tell you. But I shall persevere!
This Is What Happy Looks Like looks adorable. I need to do a big contemporary month or something, lol. SO many good ones coming out!
I think I’m most of jealous of you for Dark Triumph, This Is What Happy Looks Like, The Corner of Bittersweet, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, and especially… ALL OF IT.
Dude, have fun with these!
haha…HELLO LADY!! How have you been?
I’ve read Dark Triumph already (this was the finished copy I bought for myself), but the others are all still on my TBR too, and I can’t wait to read all of them!
I’m so in love with your blog and the design! Also, new follower!
So much great books! I really want to see how Corner of Bitter and Sweet goes and the same for This Is What Happy Looks Like!
Happy Reading!
My Haul: http://wwwthebookshelves.blogspot.com/2013/04/new-to-shelves-22-one-where-i-just-dont.html
Thank you so much!! π
I’m looking forward to those books as well! I have so many books to read, but I hope very much that I get to those soon.
Great haul! I really enjoyed This is What Happy…I can’t wait to start 45 Pounds, Our Song, Corner of…, 5 Summers, and Between the Devil. All of which are on my Kindle, because I find myself going into crazy click-happy mode whenever I see so many pretty covers. Happy reading.
You and me both, Natalie, with the click-happiness. It’s so bad…and so good at the same time, lol. I’m looking forward to all of those. Happy reading to you, too!
