My Ten Favorite Books of 2012…So Far
So, I was just catching up a little bit on some blogs that I LOVE but have been neglecting lately, much to my own sadness. One of these is my friend, Heidi’s spot, Bunbury in the Stacks. And wouldn’t you know that she has just today posted something that I have been wanting to do myself? Figures that she would inspire me to DO. Let’s see how many of these books are on my favorites list at the end of the year, guys. My guess? Quite a few. But I’ve been known to be wrong.

I kind of adored Something Like Normal too! Definitely one I’ll be pushing on students this fall. Also I love the baseball metaphor 🙂

Hehe, so glad I could help inspire you to get off your butt (that metaphor doesn’t really work for computer stuff, does it?) and DO! The Humming Room and Grave Mercy would both have totally made it if I’d gone 10 instead of 15. I really want to read Second Chance Summer as well, even though it scares me.
You are the wind beneath my blogging wings, Heidi. You should totally read Second Chance Summer. I know you don’t usually do the contemporary thing, but it’s SO GOOD. A little bittersweet, but really good.
I think now that I’ve realized there’s some FANTASTIC contemp out there, I’m just more selective about it than I am with other genres. I really want to read that one though, it appeals to me more than Amy and Roger, even though I’ve only heard wonderful things about it as well.
GRAFFITI MOON! MY LIFE NEXT DOOR! THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! These three books make me so excited, because I think they’re brilliant as well!
I haven’t read any of the others yet, but I certainly plan to!

Okay so because I trust your taste to the moon and back, I am pretty sure I need to read Unraveling and Second Chance Summer because I have read every single other book you mentioned here AND LOVED THEM so by default I will love those two books. AHH.

Right?! Hasn’t this year been kind of AWESOME so far? I hope you get to read Unraveling and Second Chance Summer. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy when people say they’re going to read a book because I died over it. I’M FEELING THE PRESSURE! lol. But I think you’ll love them both, April.

Don’t yell at me, Meg, but I still need to read The Fault In Our Stars. And also Bitterblue. EEP! The one makes me nervous because of the sads, and the other I just want to be able to sit down and focus on for a while, and I just don’t have the time. WAH!
